Catawba Regional Hospice was delighted to accept a check in the amount of $7000 from the Foothills Antique Power Association of North Carolina on October 6, 2012. This giving group of individuals and their families generously provides an annual gift to CRH, and all funds received support Catawba Regional Hospice’s program of care.
The Foothills Antique Power Association accomplishes its donations through the collection, restoration, presentation, and demonstration of antique farm machinery, along with autos, trucks, motorcycles, chainsaws, stationary engines, and many other types of hand- and horse-powered equipment. Their three-day Annual Antique Power Show, held the third weekend of May at the American Legion Fairgrounds inHickory,NC, is their primary occasion for showcasing and demonstrating antique equipment.
Evelyn Fox Ross, Community Development Coordinator, accepted the check on behalf of CRH, saying, “It’s gratifying to see the amazing level of support that Catawba Regional Hospice enjoys from local communities. The need is always strong, and gifts like this one from Foothills Antique Power Association allow hospice to do even more than anticipated. We’re very thankful."
