Donation Benefits Hospice Patient Care

Catawba Regional Hospice was delighted to be named the recipient of a $10,000 donation from Through Healing Eyes, a Hickory, NC-based nonprofit supporting programs and services related to breast cancer diagnoses.

The donation will help provide hospice care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured, in keeping with CRH’s commitment to serve all patients, regardless of financial means.

“Catawba Regional Hospice is grateful for this generous grant to help ensure access to care for everyone who needs it,” shared Mary Wesley, Vice President for Catawba Regional Hospice Foundation. “We’re proud to be associated with Through Healing Eyes and the inspiring work they do to support breast cancer survivors.”

Founded in 2003 by Katheryn Harlan, Through Healing Eyes is able to offer donations through the sale of calendars featuring artistic photographs of regional breast cancer survivors and their personal words of inspiration and hope. The organization’s goal is to support breast health and education, as well as diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
