The Hospice Thrift Store is celebrating its fifth anniversary this month with three days of customer appreciation events.
Founded in July 2010 as a source of support for people facing the challenges of advanced illness, the thrift store benefits patients and families served by Catawba Regional Hospice. CRH's abiding pledge is to provide support to anyone in need of hospice care, including those who are underinsured or uninsured.
To celebrate its fifth year of operation, the Hospice Thrift Store is offering discounts, coupons, a furniture giveaway, and refreshments. The customer appreciation celebration begins Thursday, July 16 and continues through Saturday, July 18.
The Hospice Thrift Store offers new and gently used furniture, clothing, accessories, jewelry, housewares, books, and cards. Donations are supplied by generous local manufacturers and by the community itself.
Customers can drop off donations during regular business hours or arrange for a complimentary pick-up by calling the thrift store. Donations that can't be placed for sale are recycled or forwarded to other charitable organizations.
The Hospice Thrift Store is located at 538 Highway 321 North in Hickory, near Ham's and across the street from Corning. It's open Tue-Fri from 10am-5pm and Sat from 10am-2pm. Contact them by calling 828-267-9894 or via Facebook.
