Specialized Programs

Carolina Caring has a reputation for treating patients suffering from medical conditions that often accompany end-of life care.

For example, we were the first hospice in North Carolina and among the first in the nation to create specialized programs for cardiac and pulmonary diseases. We have also achieved Level 4 status in the We Honor Veterans program, a joint effort of the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The specialized pathways of care we’ve developed benefit patients by delivering added comfort, acknowledging special circumstances, and educating families and caregivers.
